Check the label
Senita fabric blends are high quality but you’ll still want to check the care and content label for specific information on how to care for your gear.
You’ll see that it says not to machine dry…so don’t do that, okay?!
Cold wash, air dry
Machine wash in cold water and lay flat to dry. This helps protect the life of the spandex, nylon, and polyester fibers and the shape of your Senita.

Take care of bright colors
I suggest you:
- Wash bright colors alone before you wear them
- Continue washing bright colored gear with similar colors
- When wet, keep bright colored gear away from other fabrics
- Do the salt trick upon first wash

Though it may seem a bit unorthodox, adding iodized salt to your activewear laundry at the first wash could set you up for the best results later.
Why? Thanks to the chloride in salt, the color is sealed in, which keeps clothes bright for a longer period of time and prevents color bleeding!
Wash like with like
Turn your Senita gear inside out and wash it with other synthetic fabrics (most contain synthetic blends!) and avoid anything abrasive, such as denim or garments with Velcro® or zippers.
Rockin’ Green has a great detergent specifically designed for activewear– it will help you protect your investment!
Avoid mixing with cotton
Wash your activewear separate from your hoodies and towels. Cotton fluff (especially from towels) gets attached to leggings and joggers.

Skip fabric softener
Avoid using fabric softener because it coats the technical fabric and inhibits wicking capabilities. Sweat wicking gear (like most of Senita’s line!) and fabric softener don’t mix!
